"Atavus is working hard to develop ways that allow coaches to teach their players the appropriate way to tackle. At all levels, players and coaches need to be educated on the proper ways to tackle, and the dangers of improper tackling."

Atavus Football is the leading authority in tackling performance and safety. Over 55,000 coaches and athletes use the Atavus system across the U.S. and in over 17 countries. The Atavus Tackle System was designed to improve both player safety and performance. But not only was it designed to accomplish this, but it’s also been proven to. Athletes who use the Atavus system make 7% more of their tackles, allow 8% less yards after contact, AND reduce head contact by 50%.
Atavus was founded in Seattle, WA with this mission to improve tackling performance and safety. It was built for players and coaches, by players and coaches, and has continued to improve athletes and programs at all levels of the game, including the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Huskies.
